NOTE: When you see “yourdomain.com” be sure to enter your actual domain name. For example, if your domain name is “skkylight.com” then: mail.mydomain.com = mail.skkylight.com
To setup a new email account in Windows Vista, please follow these instructions:
In Windows Mail, go to the Tools menu and click on Accounts...

Click on the Add button in the upper right
In the Select Account Type window, double-click on E-mail Account.
In the Your Name window, type in the name you want your recipients to see when they receive your e-mails, then click on Next.
In the Internet E-mail Address window, type in your e-mail address, then click on Next.
In the Set up e-mail servers window, enter the e-mail server information as follows:
- Incoming e-mail server type: POP3
- Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name: mail.yourdomain.com
- Please check the box next to Outgoing server requires authentication

In the Internet Mail Logon window, enter your full email address as the E-Mail Username. Enter your password.
You should see the following screen; check the Do not download my e-mail and folders at this time box, then click Finish.
You should now end up at the Internet Accounts screen; double-click on your e-mail account.
At the top of the Properties window that appears, click on the Advanced tab. Under Server Port Numbers, enter 26 forOutgoing mail (SMTP). It is not necessary to change the Incoming mail (POP). Be sure that the checkboxes are NOT checked.
Click OK at the bottom of the screen.
You can now send and receive your mail.
